Want to see all of Holland but don’t have the time? Madurodam in The Hague is a miniature park boasting 1:25 scale model replicas of major Dutch monuments and cities. A not-for-profit, it is also a memorial to George Maduro, who fought the Nazis as a part of the Dutch resistance. madurodam.nl
4. EFTELING
Perhaps the biggest attraction at Holland’s largest theme park, Efteling, is the Fairytale Forest, home to 29 fairytale characters (the newest being Pinocchio), as well as the much-loved Fairytale Tree, whose branches and leaves flutter in the wind as it tells stories (and it’s learning English).
