OT: Best holiday?
Perizaad Zorabian: My best friend Shabana had come on a visit to the US,
when I was studying there. We spent the summer together and had loads of fun.

OT: Worst holiday?
Perizaad Zorabian: The US again. On my first visit to the US in 1988, I committed the cardinal sin and tried to see every single city. I was ill, was throwing up all the time and then discovered I had jaundice.

OT: One thing you always take?
Perizaad Zorabian: Ever since I forgot to pack underwear on a trip to the US I’m paranoid about my underwear, my Novena book and a Filofax with pictures of everyone.

OT: Best hotel you have stayed at?
Perizaad Zorabian: I don’t like high-rise hotels much, preferring villas. But the best hotels I have stayed in have to be Singapore’s Ritz-Carlton and Goa’s Leela Palace.

OT: Where are you scheduled to go next?
Perizaad Zorabian: I am off to New York, to get my Green Card going.

OT: What do you hate about holidays?
Perizaad Zorabian: I hate it when people, in their enthusiasm to get their money’s worth, try to fit too many things into too short a span of time.

OT: Scariest experience?
Perizaad Zorabian: I was holidaying in South China. I got lost while out cycling. It was dark and two men followed me and made lewd remarks. I was nearly in tears, but thankfully managed to get to the cops.

OT: Travel advice?
Perizaad Zorabian: Keep it simple. Keep it real, you will find adventure.
