OT: Which is your favourite hotel in the world?
Amyra Dastur: Definitely, the Explorers Hotel
OT: How long did you stay?
Amyra Dastur: We stayed there for about a week, so that we could explore every inch of the park. My brother and I managed to go on every single ride!
OT: What did you like about the hotel?
Amyra Dastur: It was very kid friendly. They had all these fun activities for us like treasure hunts and plays. You would always see Mickey Mouse or Cinderella roaming around and playing with everyone. Also, our beds were always covered in candy!
OT: What was the food like? Do you remember the spread?
Amyra Dastur: Paris is known for its food, of course. And the food at the Explorers Hotel was exquisite too. My mother is a huge foodie, and keeping her happy foodwise is a task in itself. But she was delighted with each meal. I ate chocolate croissants, ratatouille and an amazing cheesy lasagne. When it comes to food, you just can’t beat the French.
OT: Any other enduring memories, anecdotes from that trip, which you still recall as a family?
Amyra Dastur: Well, my mother managed to lose both my brother and me. We decided to run off, and we hadn’t seen her in two hours. Eventually, she went to the security booth and asked for help. I remember being escorted by the park’s security guards, marched right up to her. She was fuming.
OT: Do you intend to visit again?
Amyra Dastur: I would love to go there again once I have children of my own—maybe, in a decade or so. Certainly not anytime soon.
