Following a tie-up between Google and RailTel Corp of India, nearly 400 railway stations in India will be wi-fi enabled. The Mumbai Central railway station will be the country’s first wi-fi enabled railway station, expectedly from mid-October 2015. The station is an important stop for local trains on the Western Line and several long distance trains, including the Mumbai Rajdhani. According to railway sources, nearly 100 top railway stations will offer wi-fi facilities by mid-2016. In Mumbai Central railway station, the first 30 minutes in a 24-hour cycle will be free, after which users will have to pay for the services.
