Switzerland’s historic and prestigious wrestling event, Brünigschwinget, is said to be more than a hundred years old.
People belonging to the various cantons, dressed in their traditional costumes, take part in the National Costume Festival. Held at Männlichen, in the Swiss Alps, the costume parade is accompanied by authentic folklore music. Cultural performances include dancing in national costume, yodeling duets, an alphorn trio, traditional Swiss flag throwing and whip cracking.
