You can’t fault China for not pushing the envelope on creating new tourist attractions. Walking on glass is the latest fad that is drawing hordes to central Henan and Hunan provinces, which have constructed vertigo-inducing skywalks. The newest to open is The Brave Man’s Bridge in Pingjiang county, Hunan province, touted as the world’s longest glass-bottomed walkway. Standing at 300m high and stretching 375m, the bridge hangs above the Zhangjiajie grand canyon. Officials claim that even if tourists jump on the bridge, it will still be fine as steel structures beneath it are incredibly dense. Well, you have to take their word for it. At least the view is spectacular, even if your heart is in your hand during the passover!
