Indian Railways’ Regional Rail Museum in Chennai, Popularly known as the Chennai Rail Museum, is located on the northwest end of Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Furnishing Division, adjacent to the New Avadi Road. Spread over 6.25 acres of land, with an exhibit area of 360 sq metre, the Museum houses steam engines, vintage coaches, a photo gallery, as well as other attractions. Open everyday from 10am to 6pm, (except Mondays) IRCTC is offering special packages, which can be booked online (irctctourism.com), under its Tour Packages scheme. The School Students Package at 25 per head includes museum entry, and a  train joyride. TheGeneral Visitors Package at 40 per head includes museum entry, train joyride, tea or coffee or snacks. The ICF Visit Package at 130 per head includes a visit to the Integral Coach Factory, museum entry, train joyride and a fixed plan vegetarian lunch.
