The human body may itself be a work of art, but it transforms into a veritable canvas for masterpieces at the annual World Bodypainting Festival. The 20th edition of the festival will take place in Klagenfurt, Austria this year and will showcase works by artists from over 50 countries. The week-long festival begins on July 24 with four days of exciting side events that include an artist get-together, body-painting and make-up workshops, a fine-arts exhibition, a zombie walk and a styling jam session. The three-day main event (July 28–30) features the World Bodypainting Championship, where artists compete for a cash price of 25,000, along with plenty of concerts, fashion shows and interactive events. Music is a big part of the festival—artists such as Angela Reign, the Ragga Twins and Speechless will be performing. Apart from that, there are special zones which will feature food trucks, art installations, photo gardens, lifestyle markets for jewellery, fashion shows and more. Early bird prices from 20 and onsite prices from 29; bodypainting-festival.com/en.
