Qatar doesn’t always feature on the average list of summer destinations, but the Qatar Summer Festival 2018
In its fifth edition, the festival is organising activities such as comedy shows, live music concerts, and other performances. The Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre is playing home to the Entertainment City—a fun venue for families with thrilling rides, arcade games, an 18-hole golf course, an ice-skating rink and a lot more for the entire family.
Under the wing of the Doha Comedy Festival will be stand-up performances by local artists such as Gabriel Iglesias (better known as ‘fluffy’) and Hamad Al Ammari. Live concerts will be spread across the two months, featuring artists such as Fahad-Al-Kubaisi. a popular Qatari singer, Algerian singer Cheb Khaled, and Ibrahim Dashti, among others.
With the QSF coinciding with the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, one doesn’t have to worry about missing out on an important game. This time around, the World Cup is a feast with twists and turns , and visitors can enjoya double bonanza as they watch the live screening of the matches at the Fan Zone, as part of the festival itself. If you’re wondering about the literal feasts to be savoured here, there will be over 40 stalls offering authentic, local delicacies.
The Angry Birds World entertainment park, which is the first of its kind in the world, has also launched just in time for the festival.
