Walking is one of the best ways to explore any city but you may not always be aware of the heritage and culture that enlivens the city. Hence taking a walk with a person or a group specialising in the city’s history and culture can be a very rewarding experience. Join the India Heritage Walk Festival (IHWF) 2018 to be held through February across 20 cities in India to rediscover the tangible and intangible culture and heritage of these cities.
Organised by Sahapedia, an encyclopaedia of Indian arts and culture in collaboration with YES Culture, the cultural division of YES Global Institute, a practicing think tank of YES BANK, the IHWF 2018 will be held from February 1 and 28. Apart from walks, there will be ‘baithaks’, instameets and online film screenings.
According to the organisers, there will be 50 Heritage Walks across 20 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Banglore, Agra, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Baroda, Bikaner, Hyderabad, Itanagar, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patan, Pune, Udaipur, and Varanasi. The ‘baithaks’ or talks are scheduled to be held  in Kochi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi.
