The Game of Thrones (GoT) fever seems to have gripped the entire country. As the fictional battle for the Iron Throne rages on and the North readies itself to face the Night King’s army, a café based on the television show is gaining popularity in India’s real-life north—Srinagar. It is aptly named Winterfell Café after the North domain’s seat of power in the GoT universe. It opened in December 2016 and features tavern-like, wood-themed décor and seating, along with merchandise, posters and even a replica of the Iron Throne.
