If you’re in Delhi in early February, then here’s a great chance to bring out the happy kid in you. Spread out over a week from February 3-10 in Delhi, Gurgaon and Chandigarh, the 15th Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival (isharapuppet.com) will showcase puppetry of all forms. Performances will showcase a wide range of storytelling, from traditional puppetry to modern forms, along with dance, theatre and music. Of special interest would be innovative mime-based puppetry from Spain and the famous shadow puppetry of Indonesia. The participating countries are Afghanistan, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iran, Palestine, Spain, Sweden and Taiwan. This year will also mark the 30th anniversary of the Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust.
