On the first Saturday of November, every year, Amsterdam sees locals and tourists making merry at midnight. The first Saturday of November is always special as the museums in the city open their doors from 7pm to 2am; the special events, such as cultural performances, tours, workshops and concerts, begin at the stroke of midnight. And if the museum hopping has made you hungry and thirsty, don’t worry – there are plenty of food and drink stalls too. You can’t use your I Amsterdam City Card or Museum Year Card on this occasion.  Entry to the event will require you to buy Museum Night tickets (€18.50) to visit the listed 50 museums. With the ticket, you will also get free transportation on trams and boats and entry to after parties in clubs at discounted prices.
