It’s not one of the biggest castles in Scotland but unquestionably one of the liveliest castles you could ever see. Kelburn Castle, approximately 57km from Glasgow, is a little off-track when it comes to its walls. This 13th century castle does not have a grey or brown exterior; it has colourful abstract art on its graffiti wall done by Brazilian artists. The Graffiti Project, started in 2007, depicting murals, over-sized cartoons and street art from the artists of Sao Paulo, has drawn the attention of travellers from all over the world. Due to the deteriorating condition of the castle walls, the plans are now to remove the vibrant artwork on the graffiti wall. If you can make it to Scotland by the summer of 2015, it will still be there.
