OT: Which is your favourite hotel in the world?
Nargis Fakhri: The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai (from AED 1,350;
ritzcarlton.com). I was there recently for a weekend, just to get away from the rainy days here in Mumbai.

OT: Why do you love it?
Nargis Fakhri: Because although the hotel is so centrally located — close to everything of importance in the city — it has a fabulous, chilled-out resort feel to it, in combination with city style.

OT: Great memories from your last trip?
Nargis Fakhri: It was a bummer that I had to leave so soon. The staff there is amazing and very helpful. Anything and everything you need is just a call away. I enjoyed my time at their spa. The services are top-notch and at the same time you feel very comfortable and relaxed in the tranquil ethnic décor.

OT: Tell us about your room…
Nargis Fakhri: My room was just perfect: on the fifth floor with a complete view of the ocean. I enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony, despite the heat. I watched the sun setting from my bed, which was another treat.

OT: And what about the food?
Nargis Fakhri: Well, the room service was good, but the Blue Jade restaurant was fabulous. It celebrates contemporary pan-Asian cuisine. For lunch, I would sit by the pool or be seated inside the La Baie Lounge, which was hip and cool. My favourite dish there was the mango and crab salad. Also loved their assorted dessert platter with a yummy red velvet cake as well as some other chocolate delights. Decadent, and so absolutely sinful!
