OT: Last visited?
Sarita Choudhury: I stayed there for the first time 12 years ago, while working on the voice for a Miramax film, and ever since I revisit it when I can. If I am in London, I will pop by the hotel just for a cappuccino, sit at the bar and look out the window and pretend I am still staying there.
OT: The experience?
Sarita Choudhury: When you walk through the door, off the busy yet quaint streets in the Covent Garden area, you feel special. The flowers in the room are the kind you choose yourself. The mixture of modern, hi-tech facilities mixed with traditional comfortable beds and linen is appealing. The staff treat you as if you have always been there; they exude this casualness.
OT: The food?
Sarita Choudhury: The food is simple yet gourmet. I particularly remember their room service as it makes you feel as though you have a private chef. Also, the hotel follows a trust system; you can have a drink late at night at the bar and just let them know the next day what you had.
OT: Its USP?
Sarita Choudhury: At the hotel, it is like being in the centre of the city but with the silence of a church. You feel like your hideaway is as special as the bustle of the city outside.
OT: Repeat visit?
Sarita Choudhury: The next time I work in London, I have no doubt about where I will be staying. And I’m absolutely looking forward to it.
