Savour the stunning landscapes of the Peruvian Andes in South America’s first luxury sleeper train, the Belmond
Once the train launches in May 2017, Belmond will offer a selection of four itineraries ranging from one to three days. One of the itineraries, ‘Peruvian Highlands’, will take you on a 2N/3D journey from Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire and across the highest Andean plains, reaching a height of 4,800m, to Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru and surrounded by three volcanoes.
Designed by Inge Moore of The Gallery HBA, the interiors of the train are inspired by Peruvian fabrics and it will accommodate up to 68 guests and it even has an open-air observation deck to better enjoy the dramatic views of the Peruvian terrain. The Andean Explorer will be Belmond’s 8 th luxury train.
