Good news for birders! Thanks to the generous monsoon this year, the Okhla Bird Sanctuary (OBS) has witnessed an early arrival of winter migratory birds. Making OBS their home right now are birds like the ruff, the common teal, the pied avocet, the common redshank, the endangered black-tailed godwit, the little tern, the whiskered tern, among many others. The star attraction is the western marsh harrier, coming all the way from Europe! So go grab a binocular, a camera and a guide book and head to the sanctuary.
