OT: Which is your favourite hotel in the world?
Imran Khan:
I am very fond of
the Imperial in New Delhi (from Rs.9,000; theimperialindia. com). If you were to ask about a hotel outside of India, I would always choose the Golden Well Hotel in Prague (from € 245; goldenwell.cz). With such an intriguing name, who wouldn’t?

OT: Why do you prefer them?
Imran Khan:
The staff at the Imperial defines personal attention for me. I usually sleep on the right side of any bed, even at home. The housekeeping staff noticed this the first night after I had slept and my slippers, bottle of water, remotes and all were thoughtfully placed on the right side after that. The thoughtfulness was endearing.

OT: And the Prague property?
Imran Khan:
The Golden Well also scores on service—they can preempt your every need. The hotel has a great location as well, below the Prague Castle. It’s actually surrounded by the rose gardens of the Castle and the Little Quarter. Everything that is worth seeing in Prague is just a walk away. And if you want to get into the rose gardens, you can use Emperor Rudolf II’s own entrance!

OT: What was your favourite space within the hotel?
Imran Khan:
The Golden Well has a terrace restaurant that is a must-try! The City of a Hundred Spires is sprawled right in front of you! The view has competition only from the excellent food. I still dream of their John Dory and the plum ravioli they served with homemade hazel-caramel ice cream…and the amazing wines. I could go on and on!
